The K&K Double Helix Solo is a hum-cancelling, dual-coil soundhole pickup for steel-string acoustic guitars, built entirely passive so there's no battery or onboard preamp to worry about. A built-in phase switch and a uniquely useful tone switch let you move between a bright, shimmering "Gloss" voice and a bigger, more substantial "Steam" tone with excellent feedback resistance, giving you real tonal flexibility from a simple soundhole install. K&K Sound was founded in 1984 in Germany by Dieter and Karla Kaudel, later relocating to Oregon, USA, where they became pioneers of bridge plate transducer technology for acoustic instruments.
