1978 Burny BJ 60 - J45/Texan-Style Slope Shoulder
$1,165.00A rare vintage offering from Burny’s golden era, this 1978 BJ-60 is a slope-shouldered dreadnought that pulls clear inspiration from the Gibson J-45 and Epiphone Texan templates, with a warm, open voice and killer vintage mojo. Featuring a spruce top over mahogany back and sides, it delivers a dry, mid-forward tone with excellent note definition and a woody low end that really blooms under a flatpick. The soft-V neck carve is super comfortable, and the detailing—from the open book headstock to the multi-ply binding—nails that '60s aesthetic with Japanese precision.
These Burny acoustics don’t show up often, and this one’s been well-kept with only light cosmetic wear, and a responsive, resonant top. It’s had a full setup and plays great, an ideal couch strummer, studio workhorse, or vintage alternative to a big-ticket Gibson.
This guitar is a great addition in anyone’s collection and with a fresh set up it is ready to go!
