A cult favourite from the early days of Boss compact pedals, the BOSS CS-1 Compression Sustainer (Long Dash, Silver Screw) delivers smooth, squishy compression and long, singing sustain with unmistakable vintage character. Unlike later models, the CS-1 uses an optical compression circuit, giving it a distinctive, slightly spongy response that’s beloved by funk players and clean tone fanatics alike. Built in Japan and housed in the classic silver screw enclosure, this early CS-1 is pure ‘70s/‘80s compressor gold.
